Tips for Success

  • Drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water a day 140 lbs. = 70 oz. (NO SODA)
  • Move your body, everything counts. There are tons of workout dvd programs to choose from that you can do right at home. Beachbody now offers On Demand workouts where you can subscribe for 90 days and stream dozens of different workouts instantly and anywhere you have internet access.
  • Eat clean, no processed foods, limit sugar, eat whole grains. A free Ap, fooducate, is great. Scan foods and it will tell you all about the ingredients and suggest alternatives that are healthier.
  • Plan out meals and snacks a week at a time. Eat every 3 ish hours. If you plan and premake snacks it keeps you from grabbing chips and cookies and running through the drive through for dinner. TONS of plans and recipes are online if you google clean eating plans etc.
  • My biggest thing has been joining an accountability group on facebook. I check in with the group every day and share progress, ideas, recipes, before and after pics, etc. Having a support group for me has been the changing factor for why I never stuck with anything before. Find a support group, either real friends or strangers to help you stay accountable.
